I can't help feeling that the whole history of 3W should begin "according to Dr Chang". Since we eventually learn that 3W isn't doing what he claims it's doing, that Missy is the mastermind behind it, and that it's actually in present day London where no-one has heard about Professor Skaroka's alleged discoveries, it seems reasonable to consider the entire story as questionable.
