Talk:Club (The Church on Ruby Road)

Deletion[[edit source]]

Well, I'd certainly say this page is warranted, so I disagree with deletion - and surely more information is present in the episode, anyway? Cookieboy 2005 16:53, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

Well the scene is about a minute and a half long and basically goes "The Doctor Dances, Ruby watches, goblin moves glass, Ruby knocks glass, the Doctor catches it, they talk briefly, he leaves, she drops the glass". Can't see much more information about the place beyond describing its floorplan such as we see it. I don't have a copy of the novelisation, so maybe there's more in there? We don't have Nightclub (Day One), etc. for other unnamed nightclubs; maybe we should, but that was my rationale for going "oh wait" after I created the page. - CodeAndGin | 🗨 | 19:59, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
Oh also, at T:DEL: "Brevity is not a reason for deletion unless the subject matter is covered by an article with a similar agenda." I'd argue nightclub is an article with a similar agenda that covers this subject. - CodeAndGin | 🗨 | 20:09, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
No, that's more, if somebody had already made "Nightlub (The Church on Ruby Road)" and this was redundant. Individual places can always get their own page, no matter how little information we have. And of course, this page could host an image of the club's interior as seen in that story (whereas it would be impractical to host images of every club ever at Nightclub). --Scrooge MacDuck 20:26, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) This is a page for a specific location the characters visit, while "nightclub" is a general overview. I feel a close example is "Bar (The Train in Vain and the Junkmail Messiah)", which is only mentioned by characters (and yes, I do think "Nightclub (Day One)" is warranted). My bad then, clearly misunderstood! - CodeAndGin | 🗨 | 20:31, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
