Full coverage[[edit source]]

In light of us covering Doctor Doctor as a licensed parody, should we be doing the same with this? WaltK 15:50, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

I see no reason why we shouldn't. SID'gingerfool'RAT - 🔎 |📂|📝 16:01, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
Agreed. Someone questioned the logistics of it on my talk page a bit ago, but I think we can just do "Untitled 1", etc. for the individual sketches, without needing to cover the full episodes. Cookieboy 2005 16:50, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
There's no question that we'd only cover the Doctor Who skits… but do the "Tiger Hood" sketches count as DW skits? WaltK 17:33, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
I guess that depends on if we consider the intent to be that she's Rose Tyler, or if it's just meant to be Billie Piper. Cookieboy 2005 17:35, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
"but I think we can just do "Untitled 1", etc. for the individual sketches, without needing to cover the full episodes."

Covering them by episode (without covering everything in the episode) makes more sense to me; there are at least two skits per episode, at least in series one. WaltK 18:24, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

If we have episode numbers, I guess so. I suppose that's similar to my approach to Dead Ringers' DW-related skits. Cookieboy 2005 20:17, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

Wait, doesn't this question fall under the topic of Forum:BBC-produced shows and episodes that make extensive use of DWU elements? I'm not necessarily opposed to it but I'm not sure we should be getting into such detailed coverage while that thread is still open. --Borisashton 18:06, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

I dunno, we've already been covering Doctor Doctor, as mentioned earlier, and I've been covering Dead Ringers skits (see Rishi Sunak, Partygate, Fallout (TV series), et al.). If this does fall under it, though, then hopefully the thread concludes soon - I can't imagine us deciding not to cover these, though. Cookieboy 2005 19:31, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
Separate from the above issue, I'd like to bring up something I previously noted at Talk:Series 1 Episode 1 (Hedz TV story), that being the source page names. Precedent of Chute! Episode 9 [+]Loading...["Chute! Episode 9 (TV story)"] surely applies here, indicating we should use page named such as "Hedz Series 1 Episode 1 (TV story)" (which also makes the source much clearer, see Arnie's Videos). Doctor Doctor feels a slightly different beast to me as its defining element is that it's a Who parody series, not a sketch series using the occasional DWU element. The latest round of Dead Ringers occurred after the thread had started and I'm actually surprised it hasn't been brought up because that programme is a prime example of a BBC-produced show that makes extensive use of DWU elements and, barring a few examples, a show we've never created separate sketch pages for despite the series article existing since 2012.
Again, I have to reiterate I'm not opposed to coverage of Hedz and others in general but I think we should discuss this properly and outline any boundaries before going too far down the rabbit hole. Full coverage of everything and anything BBC-produced in this category would result in hundreds, if not thousands, of new story pages and would constitute a major change to how we've approached this stuff historically. --Borisashton 22:50, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
