Just to make it clear to Doctor Who fans the first occurance on screen of the changed registraton number (that's what we call it in the UK) was in the Revenge of the Slitheen which is the second adventure for SJA shown. Any appearances in Doctor Who occur after the change had been evident in SJA for it's entire first season.

Three different cars?[[edit source]]
Shouldn't this article be about Sarah Jane's three separate cars? There's the one from School Reunion, which is silver, a yellow VW Beetle as in The Nightmare Man, and the one that the article is based on now. The Thirteenth Doctor 15:50, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say theres two paths to pursue. We can either make three separate articles for the different cars (pointless), or we can either just rename this article as plural and spilt it up into three sections for each car.I'm in favor for the latter. - I. - If the cars are identified as individual cars (so if Sarah or someone says 'there's my Nissan Figaro', which doesn't happen I don't think as it's the BBC), but in that situation then we would create separate articles because they would've been identified like that. That said she does (or Josh does) identify one of her cars as a VW Beetle in Big Finish's Sarah Jane Smith audio story series.
- For her unamed (in diaglogue) cars I think an over all plural article as Excalibur-118 suggests may be the way to go. If we need to we can link away from this main article to more specific articles as we do for the Doctor articles. --Tangerineduel 16:39, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Would there be enough information to warrant a separate article even if they were named? I'd rather keep them on the same article, like the Doctor's TARDIS or sonic screwdriver. --The Thirteenth Doctor 17:49, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
- How do we know the chronological order of this cars? What's the dialogue which definitively asserts that the Figaro is the most current or "fourth" car? Figaros were around at the time of School Reunion weren't they? Isn't it possible she had the Figaro at the same time as/before the car we saw in SR? How do we know the beetle was first? What about the car she has in Robot? I think the headings should be by manufacturer, not by cardinal numbers, cause we just don't know the order in which she bought them.

- In The Nightmare Man, Sarah Jane gives Luke her old car which is a classic Volkswagen Beetle so it technically not her car. School Reunion occurs one year before the pilot of the Sarah Jane Adventures so it is implied that the silver car came before the Nissan Figaro. Also, this suggests that she would not have owned the Beetle for less than a year unless it had accident (which it obviously has not because she gives it to Luke). So that's how we know the chronological order.
