Veritas[[edit source]]

Aren't these creatures supposed to be the Veritas (species)? They seem like they are. --DCLM 18:17, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

What has that got to do with my question? --DCLM 00:34, May 22, 2017 (UTC) It was supposed to be a separate Question --GiganotosaurusPrimeval 10:07, May 24, 2017 (UTC)

The Veritas have nothing to do with this species, for various reasons, the most important one being that the Monks are deceptive and the Veritas hate lying. OS25 (Talk) 01:27, May 22, 2017 (UTC)

Sentience[[edit source]]

It is debatable whether the people actually gained sentience because they could have just been following the program still.Like the program predicted that if people did find out they weren't real and were part of a program they would kill themselves.Of course this wasn't how the Monks intended the program too work because the real people on Earth aren't programs and thus such a situation wouldn't occur but it was inevitably part of the simulation due to it not being an completely accurate depiction of Earth.

The real Doctor would likely have done the same thing as the Doctor they made when finding out about the monks plan if he found out he wasn't real so again this was potentially just part of the program but the Monks weren't expecting the Doctor to defeat them in the simulation in such a way that the real Doctor would find out about them.
It is worth noting it is actually impossible to work out whether something is sentient without being the person.--GiganotosaurusPrimeval 10:07, May 24, 2017 (UTC)
