Talk:The Monsters Are Coming! (stage play)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Apologies for the poor style on the initial post - just got in from a gig - saw the news, and excitedly posted without checking for style guides;)

Still - exciting news - especially if they get out among the crowd;)

No worries. Welcome to the wiki! Monkey with a Gun 00:49, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

Delete (well, really, merge) Merge[[edit source]]

Don't quite have a merge template on this wiki yet, so delete will have to do for the moment. This article should be merged. The ostensibly superior title for this event is Doctor Who: Here Come the Monsters, which has already been started. There seems to be some support for DW:HCTM in Google searches. The BBC Press release fails to capitalize "live" in its header, suggesting that's not so much a name as a description. Time may reveal that "Doctor Who Live" ultimately becomes an umbrella title for a whole range of shows, but this first one seems to be specifically called "Here Come the Monsters". Thus, for the moment, it's probably best to take the specific tour information from here and move it to the other article, and delete this page. It can always be brought back later if it turns out it's an umbrella title. CzechOut | 01:54, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed on both points: they should be merged, and we need need a merge template. Although the linked BBC article does refer to the show as "Doctor Who Live". Monkey with a Gun 01:57, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Merge template created. And, again, the linked BBC article calls it "Doctor Who live" in its header, not "Doctor Who Live" —though it does capitalize "Live" in the body of the article. I expect that the deal is probably something like this: if this round of tours is successful, they'll come back with another one next year, that will be called "Doctor Who Live: <insert title here>". But still the specific title for this event does seem to be "Here Come the Monsters". CzechOut | 02:26, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Done, pages merged. --Tangerineduel 14:22, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Doctor Who Live: Terror of Steel! That would be good... Kerange 17:21, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Is the Doctor liv?[[edit source]]

Since i haven't seen the show could some one tell me why the top of the article says that the doctor only appears in video links and the cast list dosn't have the only appears in video links or what ever that the amy and rory have Joshoedit 08:33, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

This is not canon the supreme dalek is destroyed and i bet when the daleks appear in doctor who the supreme is back also i can't remember Amy appearing and i remember watching doctor who Live. Also, it is not canon because the cybermen have invented Anti-Dalekanimum and i bet thats not mentioned and they don't have that when they appear next Also, the daleks when they elevated were lifted up by a crane and i saw the weeping angels move so remove the part about this story occurs between GiganotosaurusPrimeval 15:10, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I don't quite know what you're railing against, Giganotosaurus, as, as a matter of fact, The Monsters Are Coming! is in fact already an invalid source — though simply because of its nature as a mutable stage-play, not because of any particular continuity issues. (About which, please note that Supreme Dalek is a title, not an individual; there are several different Supremes, possibly even several active at the same time. The overall, individual leader of the New Dalek Paradigm is in fact the Prime Minister of the Daleks.) --Scrooge MacDuck 19:58, November 16, 2019 (UTC)
