This is a guide for sysops / admins to merging articles to maintain page histories.
Method[[edit source]]
- Manually copy the information from the destination to the source article.
- Delete the destination article
- Move the source article to the destination (this creates the redirect too)
- Restore (Undelete) all deleted revisions of the page
This will leave you with an article where all the page history is collected in one place.
Optionally, you can skip step 2 and choose to delete the destination article during the page move. You will automatically be prompted with a warning.
