Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

A cat named Mitzi is being transported into Hyperspace. She is the first cat to go into Hyperspace, but is angry that the humans sent her there and she seeks revenge. The Doctor and Rose arrive at a building on a terraformed planet called Phostris. They look for staff but there is none. They meet a man called Jonah. He is scared of the cat and runs away in fright. Rose and the Doctor are teleported away and Rose is locked up.

The cat's voice tells her she is doomed, but she says the Doctor will save her. The Doctor has been scanned by the cat and he walks into a room of humans worshipping the cat. Mitzi reveals that she is ninety years old and humans sent her there. She attacks the Doctor, but Rose breaks free and she and the Doctor take Mitzi to the Powell Estate. As Mitzi walks off, Rose says her younger self found Mitzi and persuaded her mother to take her in. They called her Puffin, and she lived another five years.
