User:NoNotTheMemes/Romana's third incarnation
By most accounts, Romanadvoratrelundar's third incarnation served as President of the High Council during a War in Gallifrey's future, although in most accounts the timeline(s) in which this occured were eventually aborted.

The Fortune Teller[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Main article: Romana (The Little Book of Fate)
This incarnation worked with Laszlo and other Tharils to rescue refugees from a "forever war spreading through all of time and space." This temporal refugee camp was disguised as a traveling carnival, in which she posed as a fortune teller. She was similiar to the Romana III who led Gallifrey through its darkest hour by the fact they both wore a black beret(PROSE: The Little Book of Fate)
The Lord Cardinal[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Main article: Romana (Time Fracture)
Within a temporal anomaly known as the Time Fracture, time began to repeat over itself. At some point during this time loop, Romana II regenerated into a non-binary incarnation with short, blonde hair and blue eyes. No longer holding the Presidency, they instead held the title of Lord Cardinal. While UNIT had speculated that they would make for a powerful ally should they survive Gallifrey's destruction, a flood of artron energy closed the Time Fracture and prevented it from ever having opened.[source needed]
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Writers involved in the War in Heaven arc of Eighth Doctor Adventures novels based Romana III's described appearance on that of the American silent film actress Louise Brooks.
- James Goss contrasted Juliet Landau's version of the third incarnation from "other future Romanadvoratrelundars" like the "brilliantly glacial flapper" who had appeared in the Eighth Doctor Adventures. (VOR 56) Despite this, Landau bares a striking resemblance to her prose counterpart.
