Voluntary Labour Force

The British Voluntary Labour Force, also called the British Labour Voluntary Force, was, despite its name, a slave labour force conceptualised by Nazi Germany during the planning of the invasion of Great Britain during World War II.

It called for able-bodied British males between the ages of 17 and 45 to be transported to areas around Nazi-occupied Europe and put to work building cities and defences for the Third Reich. After the successful evacuation of the British Army from destruction at Dunkirk, a German invasion never materialised and the Labour Force was never formed.

Alternate timeline

In an alternate timeline in which the Germans successfully launched Operation Sealion and defeated the United Kingdom in 1940, the Voluntary Labour Force became a reality. The enslaved British men were put to work building coastal defences in Britain, strengthening Fortress Europe and constructing New Berlin in Germany. (PROSE: Timewyrm: Exodus)
