Waiting for a Friend was the seventh story in the anthology Now We Are Six Hundred.

Sarah and Owl wait out in the rain and wait for a friend who never came.
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Doctor left Sarah in Aberdeen.
- After the Doctor left, Sarah was quite sad and her brain was disordered.
- People wonder why Sarah stands in the rain, echoing the thoughts of individuals such as Kelsey Hooper.
- The Doctor "did not come today, will not come tomorrow, [and] did not come last Wednesday week."
- After the Tenth Doctor visited, Sarah became much happier, and no longer stood in the rain.
