Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Although not identified in Selfie [+]Loading...["Selfie (comic story)"], the character was Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama.
- The Futurama Comics story Tartar House Five features a sequence in which Dr. Zoidberg encounters each incarnation of the Doctor at the time of the comic's publishing in 2013. In the story, Zoidberg sees a doctor that resembles the First Doctor. Unsure of his condition, the doctor states he would like a Second Doctor's thoughts. Zoidberg is then examined by doctors resembling each of the Doctor's incarnations until finally the Eleventh Doctor diagnoses him with "Vonnegut's Syndrome".
- Another comic story, Doctor What, parodies Doctor Who. The story sees Dr. Zoidberg taking up a role like the Doctor, with a blue "porta-potty" that can travel anywhere in time and space.
