* Unknown date - Charles, Prince of Wales, meets Camilla Shand (later Parker Bowles) for the first time, launching an on-again, off-again relationship that would last for years until they finally married in 2005. Camilla became known among the British populace as the "other woman" behind the breakdown of Charles' marriage to Princess Diana in the 1990s, leading [[Rose Tyler]] to later compare her to [[Madame de Pompadour]] ([[DW]]: ''[[The Girl in the Fireplace]]'').

* Unknown dates - [[Third Doctor|The Doctor]], having recently regenerated for a second time, arrives on Earth to begin his exile (per [[DW]]: ''[[The War Games]]''). Initially amnesiac and under suspicion by [[UNIT]] and [[The Brigadier]], the Doctor soon regains his memory earns their trust by helping thwart the first [[Auton]] invasion. * [[3rd January | 03]] - [[Spearhead from Space]] Episode 1 First Broadcast. This is the first episode to be broadcast in colour, and the first episode to star [[Jon Pertwee]]. It launches the [[UNIT]] era of the series. Beginning in 1970, the number of episodes produced in each season is reduced considerably, and the show moves from  a Fall to Spring broadcast schedule to a January-June schedule.
