Having the story citation here make it look like the event took place in some other story and Oxygen only clarified that it was specifically the Twelfth Doctor who said it.

It is, again, nontrivial that the definition of capitalism is such that it necessarily came after Feudalism. Mercantilism is often discussed as an intermediate step. Removing that particular bit.

It felt weird not having Kerblam! here at all, so I added a little behind the scenes section for it. Also, removed some other examples which don’t actually use the word “Capitalism”, and moved those too to the same section

While there is a kind of literary double-meaning at play, the specific "system" line in Kerblam! is, in an in-universe context, referring to the A.I. called “the System”.

One more minor grammar fix

Actually, on second thoughts, having the world “views” twice in one sentence like that is slightly awkward wording...

(Rigor is apparently counter revolutionary. Cohen wept. :>) Clearing up extra spaces that shouldn't be here and changing the wording as me and Eden discussed on our talk pages.

(Edit made mostly as excuse to respond) Uh, I didn’t say it was trivial. You’re the one who removed it. I just thought it was irrelevant to a Doctor Who wiki, it’s an incredibly essential concept IRL. And bourgeois economists aren’t ideologically equipped to define or understand a community. As for that other thing, Communism is pretty consistently mentioned in the DWU in contrast to Capitalism, as for Feudalism, we’ll cross that bridge when we make that page!
+3
Eh. It's not trivial that the commodity form is necessary for capitalism. Hence why most economists have a completely different notion of "commodity". The SEP defines capitalism in their article on socialism and only references commodities in passing as a hypothetical. Is there a source in universe for the juxtaposition with feudalism and communism?
+8
Lol that definition was a bit weird, yeah. That strangest thing was it was a 100% accurate defintion... just so out of place on a DW wiki. Anyway, fixed typo and added in refs for Feudalism and Communism.

This definition was added by an anonymous user based on the idea that there was no in universe definition so they gave "the" real world definition. In reality they gave a highly contentious one - only Marxists concentrate on the existence of the commodity form - and violated T:NPOV in their rewrite of the article. These portions have been removed.

Corrected punctuation and capitalisation, as well as adding what some other Doctors thought of Capitalism.

The given definition has no basis in-universe, nor is it technically even accurate in the real world
