CaptainKaibyo was the username of a male TARDIS Wiki contributor. He was a self-titled "Whovian" who became interested in Doctor Who during the Dalek invasion of 2008. He had three encounters that involved the Doctor, and hoped to some day appear on-screen as a background extra.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
CaptainKaibyo first crossed paths with the Doctor in 2010 when attending a travelling show hosted by Vorgenson, who was using a Miniscope to lure the Doctor to himself by parading his most dangerous enemies in front of audience members. This turned out to be a ploy by the Daleks, who had hypnotised Vorgenson into building the Miniscope. (STAGE: The Monsters Are Coming!)
CaptainKaibyo, and a small group of shoppers, next encountered the Doctor in 2014 after passing through a crack in time at a shopping centre in Cardiff. The Doctor, having been trapped in a second Pandorica, sent his TARDIS to pick up the shoppers and return them home.
He was also among a second group of people who encountered the Doctor in 2017 when the Gallifreyan Museum became physically linked to the Doctor's TARDIS. The Doctor accidentally dropped the tour group off in a junkyard in 1963 instead of their proper time and place, but they were eventually recovered. (STAGE: Doctor Who Experience)
Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]
CaptainKaibyo was a neurodivergent human male with a blunt yet capricious nature, though was fiercely loyal to a small group of friends. He had a tendency to rile people up, often unintentionally. He was slow to make friends and not very sociable, clashing with various personality types. However, he believed in justice and doing right and ultimately in being kind, and attempted to overcome his bad habits by asking "what would the Doctor do?" As of 2024, it wasn't working. He was very unsure of himself and lacked trust in others. He often tried to cover for his anxieties using humour.
One of CaptainKaibyo's favorite things was to customise his userpages to resemble, at a glance, in-universe articles. He also had a fondness for Pokémon, model trains, and cats. He did not like football. CaptainKaibyo was very fond of trivia.
His greatest ambition was to leave a creative mark on the world - something with his name on it that people enjoyed. He mostly wanted to attain a production or creator credit for a TV series or movie. He wanted to be part of something that brought joy to people who needed it, as he felt certain franchises had done for him during hard times.
