Lute was a member of the Forest of Cheem. He was one of the guests on Platform One, accompanying Jabe to witness the Sun expanding and destroying the Earth. He and his friend Coffa were clearly distraught when the Ninth Doctor made them aware of Jabe's fate. (DW: The End of the World)
