Ben Wainwright (1897-1962) was the father of Sally Wainwright, the husband of Kathy Nightingale, the brother-in-law of Larry Nightingale and the paternal grandfather of Malcolm Wainwright.
When Kathy was sent back in time from London in 2007 to Hull on 5 December 1920, by the Weeping Angels, she arrived next to Ben with no idea what had happened. She and Ben later married and a daughter named Sally after Kathy's best friend Sally Sparrow. Ben died in 1962. On 7 February 1987, Kathy wrote in her letter, which was delivered to Sally by her grandson Malcolm in 2007, that she would have liked Ben. Kathy died shortly after writing the letter. (DW: Blink)
