The Pharos Institute was a scientific organisation that experimented with the latest advances in technology.
History
20th century
In the 1980s, the Pharos Project, was a space programme designed to communicate with extraterrestrial civilisations. It is not known whether that organisation was or is related to the Pharos Institute. (TV: Logopolis)
21st century
In 2008, the Pharos Institute were tapping the vast potential of the MITRE telekinetic headset. However the organisation had been infiltrated by Korst Gogg Thek Lutiven-Day Slitheen, who was manipulating the researchers so that the headset could be used for sinister purposes.
