Armed with flaming torches they are pursuing the creature. The fleeing creature is savaged by an alligator and left for dead while the townsfolk chase off the alligator instead. The Doctor races to the side of the creature and learns that it is an orphan - its parents having died in a crash some years earlier. Struggling to survive it had sought to protect the townsfolk from the alligators. Weakened but strong, the Doctor returns the creature to its home planet.

Terror from the Swamp was a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2012.

Summary
