The Shard was a building in London. By 2013, Miss Kizlet and her group used it as their headquarters. A Spoonhead hacked into by the Eleventh Doctor drove an anti-gravity motorbike up its side. Once UNIT took control of the Shard, the Great Intelligence ordered Kizlet to erase the memories of the organisation, returning them to their "factory settings". (TV: The Bells of Saint John)
In an alternate timeline where all of history happened at once, an early train ran through the Shard. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)
