Do we know for certain that Dave is married to Linda in ''Time of the Doctor''? Clara's father introduces himself to the Doctor as Bryan Robson at about 2 minutes 20 seconds into the episode. The name Dave Oswald may be in error.

No he doesn't, he says Clara wants to be Bryan Robson, who is a famous English footballer, referring to the Doctor being hit by the football. Geek Mythology 09:10, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

What? Where, when?

The main article states "Years later, he spoke to the Eleventh Doctor on the telephone while Clara was sleeping." When was this? --206.177.43.72talk to me 17:43, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

"The Bells of Saint John." The Doctor tells Clara about their conversation (we don't actually see it) when she's watching him from her window. If I recall, this is right before he tells her Angie went to sleep over at Nina's. 66.214.104.71talk to me 18:00, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
Yep, the Doctor gives Clara a list of things that happened, who phoned (including her dad), and claimed he reassembled/invented the quadricycle.

Remarried?

Do we know for certain that Dave is married to Linda in Time of the Doctor? It does seem the most likely option, considering how she's giving unwanted advice to Clara, but isn't it at least possible that she was just his girlfriend? —Josiah Rowe 06:39, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

I've watched the episode a few times and there's nothing to say that Linda is Dave's wife as opposed to fiance, girlfriend, sister, or some other relation entirely. Mewiet 08:15, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Time of the Doctor "Dad"

Why are we assuming the guy played by James Buller is Clara's dad? I mean, he looks nothing like the series 7b dad. Are we gong just off the credits where he's listed as "Dad"? Narratively, there's really nothing, is there? Clara never actually calls him "Dad", does she?
