DVD release (with cover blurb)
- Each issue came with a DVD release.
- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.
- "Listen to that! It's the sound of a planet screaming out its rage!"
- Professor Stahlman's drilling project is going to crack open the Earth's crust and release a gas that will provide the planet with a new source of power. At least that's the plan. When the drill unearths a mysterious green slime that transforms them around it into snarling primitive monsters, it's clear something has gone wrong – but Stahlman keeps on drilling! As people start to die and UNIT loses control, all eyes turn to the Doctor. But the Time Lord is trapped in a parallel universe where freedom is an illusion and the end of the world is just around the corner …
Notable Information
- The parallel world plot in Inferno was added to fill the story out.
- The Doctor has a normal pulse of one hundred seventy per minute (Inferno).
- In an alternative world, the legendary King Arthur ruled a technologically advanced England in the eighth century. (Battlefield)
- Other names for Morgaine included the Sunkiller, Dominator of the Thirteen Worlds and Battle Queen of the S'rax.
- In the novelisation of Battlefield, Merlin is a future Doctor with curly red hair and an Afghan coat.
- In The Robots of Death, fear of robots is called Grimwade Syndrome and is named after the programme's production manager.
- Production documents give Zoe's age as fifteen. She first appeared in the second episode of The Wheel in Space.
- The sound of a Yeti roar is that of a toilet being flushed played backwards.
- Although the Editor could understand the Jagrafess, the TARDIS was unable to translate the noises (or those of the Judoon).
