A Time Freeze was a device used by the Vykoids. It slowed other races. To those affected by the device, the Vykoids moved and spoke faster. An unexpected side effect was memory problems for non-time travellers; the Doctor and Amy remembered what had happened, but the populace of Manhattan did not. (PROSE: The Forgotten Army)
