HP Sauce (meaning Houses of Parliament sauce)[1] was a brand of sauces. An advert for this suggested to Rose Tyler that the TARDIS had brought her and the Tenth Doctor to England, and not their intended destination of New York in 1956. (TV: The Idiot's Lantern)
It was sometimes referred to as brown sauce[2].
