St Jude's Hospital was an asylum for the insane.
St Jude's housed a hyperdimensional vault storing everything the Alliance of Shades had hidden from humans over their time on Earth.
In 2010, Androvax attempted to break into the vault to help save his species, as did Sarah Jane Smith when Androvax asked her to. Both attempts were stopped by Mister Dread and two other members of the Alliance of Shades. They got inside, but Dread used a Transmat to teleport the Veil ship into space and save Earth.
