The Third Doctor was brought there by UNIT troops after collapsing in Oxley Woods from his recent regeneration. Dr Henderson thought someone in radiology was playing a prank when he and his nurse saw two hearts on the Doctor's chest X-ray, until he was similarly accused by pathologist Dr Lomax of sending him non-human blood samples. A porter, Mullins, overheard Dr Henderson's call with Dr Lomax. Mullins called the Daily Chronicle offices looking for a reward, and reported what he heard. Several journalists, including Michael Wagstaffe and James Stevens, came to get the story, but neither Captain Munro nor Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart answered their questions.
