Lancashire was a county in England.

The county included the town of Blackpool, home to both Lucie Miller (AUDIO: Death in Blackpool) and Clara Oswald. (TV: Robot of Sherwood)

In the mid-19th century, ten families from Lancashire founded the village of Dinorben. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Witch Mark)

In the 1940s, the Eighth Doctor spent some time in Lancashire. (PROSE: Grimm Reality)

In the 1980s, the Seventh Doctor and Bernice Summerfield attended a Laurel and Hardy convention in Ulverston, Lancashire. (PROSE: The Pit)

Clara Oswald was born Lancashire town of Blackpool. (TV: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, TV: Robot of Sherwood) Clara got lost on a bank holiday visit to Blackpool beach, until her mother found her and helped her to conquer her fear. (TV: The Rings of Akhaten)

While searching the wrecked TARDIS, the Eleventh Doctor used Gregor's Scanner to find Clara based on her Lancashire origins. Later, the scanner picked up that one of the Time Zombies was also from Lancashire, denoting that this was what Clara would become. This never happened after the Doctor crossed his own timeline and reset time to before the TARDIS was wrecked. (TV: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS)

In 3295, the Eleventh Doctor joked that the star whale's mouth at the heart of Starship UK — which he at the time thought a rubbish dump — might be the spaceship's version of the county. (TV: The Beast Below)
