In 1999, Geoff Paynter and Mark Barrington, two UNIT operatives, flew on KLM flight 601 from Schipol Airport to Los Angeles International Airport, during which they mocked the in-flight movie, Tomorrow Never Dies. Meanwhile, in London, the Brigadier met with the Fifth Doctor at The National Portrait Gallery. The Doctor had answered the soldier's cryptic advertisement in the New Scientist.
