Tomorrow Never Dies was a James Bond film that Geoff Paynter and Mark Barrington, two UNIT operatives, ridiculed on KLM flight 601 on 3 July 1999. Paynter said that "watch[ing] a spy film and laughing at all the inaccuracies" was the only thing that had kept him sane working for UNIT. (PROSE: The King of Terror)

The film featured Jonathan Pryce as the villain Elliot Carver, Samantha Bond as Miss Moneypenny, Geoffrey Palmer as Admiral Roebuck and Colin Salmon as Charles Robinson. David Arnold composed the music.
