Paul South was an executive for the oil company Ophion Oil who spied on Snowcap University, where by 2048, he went undercover as head of security. He closely monitored Dr Patricia Audley over suspicions of Project Sub-Zero, and during his time in Antarctica, grew to love the continent and had second thoughts about allowing Ophion to drill for oil. He questioned the Twelfth Doctor why when there's usually twelve people on university tours, the Doctor is number thirteen. The Doctor took out his psychic paper and claimed he was doing an Ofsted inspection. Later, he revealed his intentions to the Doctor, and helped find an ice cavern where the missing students had been experimented on, engineered by Dr Patricia Audley to survive in extreme cold. Paul, along with Winnie Clarence, released most of the imprisoned humans from captivity. (COMIC: Blood and Ice)
