Project Sub-Zero was a research project being conducted at Snowcap University in 2048.

Project Sub-Zero involved humans being genetically engineered into hybrids via Dr. Patricia Audley's experiments to survive the extreme cold of Antarctica. Known subjects included Quinn Norton, Polly Evans and Marianne.
The Twelfth Doctor's suspicions were aroused when he was shown around the project, and noticed there were no living quarters. (COMIC: Blood and Ice)
