Althrace was a solar system inhabited by a number of species. They were so advanced they had "bolted" their worlds together. Althrace was located next to a white hole, a natural force for creation. The beings from the system had gained much wisdom and knowledge thereby. They used bio-mechanical technology. Their entire system, planets and inhabitants, all had entered a symbiotic relationship, becoming a "single vast, thinking, feeling, intelligent being". (COMIC: The Tides of Time)
The chief inhabitants of Althrace were the Lords of Althrace, including Dakon Theka and the Thane of Kordar. Other species included the Kalichurans, of which Melanicus was a member.[source needed]
