Osamu Aimi-Chopra was a human military conscript in the 38th century assigned to a rescue team sent to investigate why all contact had been lost with Le Verrier space station in orbit of Neptune. Unlike his colleagues, Chopra was vehemently anti-Morpheus, a process wired into sleep pods that was widely used to prevent the need for a humanoid to sleep and developed by Gagan Rassmussen.
