One endpoint of the Timelash, a corridor in time and space connecting Earth and Karfel, was in the Scotland of 1179. The despotic Borad sent political enemies through the Timelash, presumably to their deaths centuries removed from their home eras. The Borad himself was eventually sent to Scotland in 1179 via the Timelash. The Sixth Doctor apparently believed he survived the journey, as he speculated that the Borad became the Loch Ness Monster.
