Taunton was a town in England.

After Sheldukher offered the Seventh Doctor the ultimate power, the Doctor told Sheldukher that he had ran Taunton for two weeks in the 18th century and had never been so bored. Sheldukher was angry because he offered the Doctor the universe and the Doctor spoke of Taunton. (PROSE: The Highest Science)
