A keyboard was an imputing-device often used against a computer.

Rose Tyler used one in 2005 to look for the Ninth Doctor. She eventually found Clive. (TV: Rose)

Mickey Smith used one in 2006. He later used it to hack UNIT and prevent an attack by the Slitheen with the assistance of the Doctor. (TV: Aliens of London/World War Three)
