The advertising satellite was a robot satellite which teleported into random environments and convinced people to visit the Psychic Circus.

It teleported into the Doctor's TARDIS and convinced the Seventh Doctor and Ace to visit the circus. The satellite left before they landed. (TV: The Greatest Show in the Galaxy)
