* In the Dalek/Movellan skirmish scene why the dalek design is the time war one?How does it make the scene fit in continuity? It is supposed to be an episode from the time war with the movellans partecipating in it? It seems unlikely it is from the Dalek/Movellan war seen in "Destiny of the Daleks"

** This has actually happened before, in the novel Prisoner of the Daleks, which is set during the Second Dalek War (explicitly before the Time War. Yet the Daleks are still described as the bronze 2005 variant rather than the old grey/black 70s/80s design seen in Frontier in Space/Planet of the Daleks in which that conflict began. One suggestion is that, in these pre-Time War conflicts (perhaps ones in which the Daleks were struggling), the Daleks introduced a much stronger, bronze wartime armour for their soldiers, and phased it out after each war. (it may have used up to much resources for it to become standard issue during a difficult conflict.) By the start of the Time War, which they knew would be a huge conflict, they had prepared well enough for it to become the standard casing and it stuck in all the periods beyond.

You are exploring the Discontinuity Index, a place where any details or rumours about unreleased stories are forbidden.
Please discuss only those whole stories which have already been released, and obey our spoiler policy.

This page is for discussing the ways in which The Pilot doesn't fit well with other DWU narratives. You can also talk about the plot holes that render its own, internal narrative confusing.

Remember, this is a forum, so civil discussion is encouraged. However, please do not sign your posts. Also, keep all posts about the same continuity error under the same bullet point. You can add a new point by typing:

* This is point one.
::This is a counter-argument to point one.
:::This is a counter-argument to the counter-argument above
* This is point two.
::Explanation of point two.
::Further discussion and query of point two.
