This page is for discussing the ways in which The Pilot doesn't fit well with other DWU narratives. You can also talk about the plot holes that render its own, internal narrative confusing.
Remember, this is a forum, so civil discussion is encouraged. However, please do not sign your posts. Also, keep all posts about the same continuity error under the same bullet point. You can add a new point by typing:

- In the Dalek/Movellan skirmish scene why the dalek design is the time war one?How does it make the scene fit in continuity? It is supposed to be an episode from the time war with the movellans partecipating in it? It seems unlikely it is from the Dalek/Movellan war seen in "Destiny of the Daleks"
- This has actually happened before, in the novel Prisoner of the Daleks, which is set during the Second Dalek War (explicitly before the Time War. Yet the Daleks are still described as the bronze 2005 variant rather than the old grey/black 70s/80s design seen in Frontier in Space/Planet of the Daleks in which that conflict began. One suggestion is that, in these pre-Time War conflicts (perhaps ones in which the Daleks were struggling), the Daleks introduced a much stronger, bronze wartime armour for their soldiers, and phased it out after each war. (it may have used up to much resources for it to become standard issue during a difficult conflict.) By the start of the Time War, which they knew would be a huge conflict, they had prepared well enough for it to become the standard casing and it stuck in all the periods beyond.
- Another possibility is that war with the Movellans has resumed (though we don't know for certain that they are Movellans - one of them screams, though they're meant to be robots).Or maybe the bronze daleks we've been seeing have always existed, and the grey ones were some special class used for various missions.
- They are Movellans,it has been confirmed by Moffat himself, who has said that Mark Gatiss convinced him to make them Movellans. He also said that they are more human movellans,so antecedent in time to the ones seen in Destiny of the Daleks
- Or perhaps, during this time, the bronze daleks were a special class of dalek and over time this casing ended up becoming the standard casing.
- Possibly, Bronze Daleks were used simply to save money!

- Since the Movellans themselves are sporting a mildly updated design (looser, more detailed uniforms and chunkier guns) I think we can put this down to the "Klingons never had bumpy foreheads in the past" category of continuity error (i.e. Trying to reason it out will only make things worse).
