Pollitt was an Englishman who lived in Berlin in 1933. He initially thought that Susan Foreman was an actress, and wanted to know why she was there. He told Susan about the anti-Semitism in Berlin at that point. Pollitt thought that the First Doctor might cause suspicion. He owned a nightclub. He drugged Susan. He wanted to know if the Doctor had been involved in experiments in extracting gold. (AUDIO: The Alchemists)
