Paul Finch wrote a number of Doctor Who stories. His first contribution to the franchise was the short story Spoilsport, published in the anthology Short Trips: Destination Prague. He later wrote the audio story Leviathan, adapted from an unmade Doctor Who television script of the same name which his father (Brian Finch) wrote. He then wrote The Sentinels of the New Dawn, an original story that ties into Leviathan and acts as a prequel. He also adapted Hexagora from a story by Peter Ling and Hazel Adair. He also wrote the New Series Adventure Hunter's Moon, and Threshold, the first story in the spin-off audio series Counter-Measures.
