The HMS Beagle was a 19th century Royal Navy vessel.
The Sixth Doctor took Evelyn Smythe to the Galápagos Islands in 1835 to meet one of her heroes, Charles Darwin, shortly after the Beagle had arrived. They found a group of revived Silurians who planned to destroy humanity. Their leader, Tulok, sent a Myrka to destroy the Beagle, but Greta Rodrigues sacrificed herself to stop it. After the Silurians' plan had been prevented, Darwin returned to the Beagle to complete his historic voyage. (AUDIO: Bloodtide)
