It's probably time to unlock the page since the season has finished airing. If not, can someone add the following updates:
* Update wording to indicate broadcast has now completed.
* Add the fact Lis Sladen's autobiography indicates she was not diagnosed with her cancer until February 2011, meaning the decision to film only half of Series 5 in 2010 was not related to her health. [[Special:Contributions/68.146.80.110|68.146.80.110]] 22:50, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

I just did some cleanup on this section for spelling and proper English, but that said I have been unable to find any online source to support the claim that any novels were planned based on the unmade stories. In fact, one of the episodes was pretty quickly retasked as an episode of Wizards vs. Aliens. If there's no source available, I suggest the section be deleted. Has there been any word as to whether broadcast might be delayed due to the decision to do a fall season for Doctor Who? Merlin's already been pushed into 2012 because of it. Except for a little overlap at the start and end of seasons I don't think we've had DW and SJA seasons running at the same time before.
