Princess Oralissa was the title character from The Princess of Aldermar.

An interactive version of the play ran on Esselven Minor, looping every ten days. It was unintentionally never deactivated, and an Autonomous Photonic Simulation of the character repeated their actions for five hundred years.

During that time, a narrow data bridge formed, connecting her memory block in the computer with the general data files. This allowed some of her memories to remain after each reset, eventually leading to her becoming sentient. After the people on Esselven Minor repaired the spacecraft in which their ancestors had reached the planetoid, they returned to Esselven and Oralissa became a nanny. (PROSE: Palace of the Red Sun)
