Li H'sen Chang performed a trick using what he called a "magic bullet". In 1889, at the Palace Theatre, Chang asked the Fourth Doctor to participate in the act. He threw him a deck of cards and asked him to select one. The Doctor showed Chang and the audience the ace of diamonds and returned it to the deck, which he shuffled.
