The Thousand-Year Battles were the first conflicts in the War after the initial skirmish on Dronid. The term is somewhat of a misnomer, as it only lasted a millennium on one of the planets.
The battles were fought on three worlds: Utterlost, then Kaiwar and Mohandassa. On Utterlost the fighting never truly ended. No one knows what happened to Mohandassa, and Kaiwar was abandoned because the alterations in history caused it to lose any tactical advantage. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
