Jack May played General Nikolai Hermack in the Doctor Who story The Space Pirates.

He is most famous for playing William E. Simms in the television show Adam Adamant Lives! and voicing Igor in cartoon series Count Duckula. His other television appearances include roles in An Age of Kings, The Avengers, The Plane Makers, Z-Cars, Danger Man, Emergency – Ward 10, Out of the Unknown, No Hiding Place, Softly, Softly, Dr. Finlay's Casebook, Doctor at Large, UFO, Van der Valk and All Creatures Great and Small.
