Richard Shaw (19 November 1920-11 April 2010) appeared in several Doctor Who stories: as Lobos in The Space Museum, Cross in Frontier in Space, and Lakh in Underworld.

Shaw's other credits included roles on Quatermass and the Pit, Ghost Squad, Z-Cars, The Plane Makers, No Hiding Place, Emergency – Ward 10, The Saint, The Troubleshooters, The Informer, Dixon of Dock Green, Softly, Softly, Softly, Softly: Taskforce, Barlow at Large and The Onedin Line.

His film credits included Don't Lose Your Head and The Dirty Dozen. However, he is best known for playing Ryan in twenty-six episodes of Freewheelers and Dan Johnson in thirteen episodes of Coronation Street.
