Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger was a fictional character.

In 1985, Peri Brown, in an attempt to persuade the Sixth Doctor to get the police after they had found Joe Payne's body in the London sewers, said that he didn't have to play the Lone Ranger, as they weren't on "some deserted planet in the middle of nowhere". (TV: Attack of the Cybermen)

On 31 December 1999, Salinger dressed in a Lone Ranger costume for Walker General Hospital's New Year's Eve fancy dress party. (PROSE: The Novel of the Film)

When Brenda Williams protested that she wasn't an alien, Jack Harkness sarcastically replied, "Yeah, and the Lone Ranger didn't have a thing with Tonto." (TV: Something Borrowed)
