George Stephenson was an English inventor. He lived in the village of Killingworth during the Industrial Revolution. (TV: The Mark of the Rani) As Amy Pond would recall, Stephenson's first steam locomotive went into service in 1814. (COMIC: The Doctor and the Nurse)
